Data from the High Commission for Planning showed a decline in unemployment levels in the Moroccan market at the beginning of this year, due to the growth of many activities, especially the services and business sectors.

The unemployment rate fell slightly by 0.4 percent in the first quarter of 2025, driven by an increase in the number of jobs in cities. The unemployment rate also fell from 13.7 percent to 13.3 percent nationally, bringing the number of unemployed to 1.63 million.

The delegation attributed the decrease to the addition of 282,000 jobs in cities between January and March compared to the same period last year.
